Zachary "Zach" Clare is a character in UNIVER.SYS. He is a TAN (Technological Anthropomorph) from Synknights Kaleido Group, and member of the Palette Crew supergroup.

History

Zach's first design was first published in OS-tans.moe on April 16, 2023. His design may be renewed later in 2024.

Character

Like his sister Zinnia, Zach has experience in stage magic performances. He has an extroverted and eccentric personality, unafraid to incorporate new tricks and gadgets, which helped him gain recognition through advertising and magazine covers. As a result, he has amassed a significant number of fans in his homeland of Albin.

Despite Zach's love for attention and magic tricks, he also has a sensible side, and prefers to handle things diplomatically than being violent. Occasionally, when he is alone, Zach reflects on his role as a popular performer, as one thing he is certain about is his desire to be a trendsetter, and to entertain people.

  • Zach is the personification of Sinclair ZX Spectrum, a personal computer by Sinclair Research.
  • He is notorious for his eccentric fashion and poor sense of colors, referencing ZX Spectrum's attribute clashing.[1]
  • He is often spotted riding unusual vehicles both on and off stage, which is inspired by the Sinclair C5.[2]
  • His color theme in Palette Crew is magenta
  • His favorite food is trifle, especially ones with rainbow cakes.
