Zachary "Zach" Clare is a character in UNIVER.SYS. He is a Techne from Synknights.

History

Zach's first design was first published in OS-tans.moe on April 16, 2023. His design may be renewed later in 2024.

Character

Like his sister Zinnia, Zach is a stage magician, and served as the ringmaster and "face" of Synknights. He has an extroverted and eccentric personality, notorious for his color and pattern-clashing attire and satirical sense of humor, though he loved the attention and used it to his and The Syntroupe's advantage. Zach's skills and charisma helped him gain recognition through advertising and magazine covers, amassing a significant number of fans both in Avaloria and overseas.

While he can seem arrogant and somewhat of a show-off, Zach believed in making people entertained and share his knowledge and skills for others. He doesn't believe in winning all or nothing despite his own competitive spirit, and would gladly accept other skilled Techne to join The Syntroupe. As Rika described, Zach is like a knight in jester's clothing.

  • Zach is the personification of Sinclair ZX Spectrum, a personal computer by Sinclair Research.
  • He is notorious for his eccentric fashion and poor sense of colors, referencing ZX Spectrum's attribute clashing.[1]
  • He is often spotted riding unusual vehicles both on and off stage, which is inspired by the Sinclair C5.[2]
  • His favorite food is trifle, especially ones with rainbow cakes.
