Techno-Alliance Corp. (Japanese: 株式会社テクノアライアンス) is a Japanese IT company providing a broad range of services such as technical support for software products or human resource development[1].

The company is a partner of Microsoft Japan[1] and notably organized most campaigns involving the Madobe Family via the now defunct Windows 7 Mania (2009-2012) and then Windows Navi+ (2012-2022) subsidiaries to promote Windows operating systems.

Madobe Campaigns

The first such campaign was launched on September 25, 2009 and supported the launch of Windows 7 with the debut of Nanami Madobe.

The campaigns featured innovative and memorable approaches to marketing such as the use of anime characters and hiring popular voice actress to voice them[2]. Customers were enticed to buy Windows products with packs including merchandise and unique desktop themes featuring them. Contests and lotteries were also organized.

During the Happy Windows 7 Campaign, shops reported a 50% boost on their sales compared to usual.

Despite the Windows Navi+ website remaining online until 2022, their last campaign was a 2016 collaboration with Celsys which offered a copy of Clip Studio Paint Debut to some buyers of Windows 10. The homepage also displayed an advert with Tōko Madobe and Ai Kizuna for a 2017 campaign related to Windows Mixed Reality and run by Monipla, a subsidiary of Allied Architects, Inc.

Later campaigns, in particular the Nanami Madobe's Graduation Campaign, were run by Digital DIY, a subsidiary of Creative Bank, Inc.

  • Windows Navi+ is unrelated to Mynavi Corporation, which news site can often be stumbled on when looking for information about moe mascots.
