Windows 8 Pro DSP 2012 Winter Campaign

Windows Navi+ ran a Winter 2012 campaign promoting Windows 8 Pro DSP, featuring Yū and Ai Madobe, from December 1, 2012 to January 31, 2013[1][2][3]. The event is officially referred to as the Windows 8 Pro DSP Winter Special Campaign (Japanese: DSP版 Windows 8 Pro 冬のトクトクキャンペーン).

People who purchased Windows 8 Pro between December 1 and January 14 in participating shops could download a special Theme Pack among the following two:

  • Christmas and New Year's Eve Version, must be claimed from December 14 to 27.
  • Akihabara New Year Sales and Fine Clothing Version, must be claimed from December 28 to January 31.

Only one Theme Pack could be claimed per Windows 8 License. Each includes two accordingly themed wallpapers, Yū and Ai system sounds with a few differences between both Packs, and two .deskthemepack files integrating each both wallpapers and the voices of one of the two twins.

Downloading a Pack also entered the purchaser into a lottery with prizes such as a camera or various computer parts.

The wallpapers and sounds were included in the Windows 8.1 Pro DSP Release Commemorative Packs.
