Warefarer Multinational, commonly known as Warefarer, is an Ensemble in Liberty. They are known for their computer hardware products and video game production.
Warefarer started as an office appliance and furniture company in the late 1950s, however they gradually changed course into manufacturing electronics. When Personal Operator TANs started to become more well-known in the 1970s, Warefarer jumped at the opportunity to becoming a TAN Ensemble, and having their own TAN unit.
Warefarer's aggressive marketing strategy resulted in their TANs' popularity, but it also gained them a number of detractors, such as Solitary Industries and Arcadian.
Visual Styles
Warefarer's visual style tend to be rustic and nautical-inspired, as a nod to the company's emphasis on being resilient and resourceful. Some examples include blazers/jackets, ties, scarves, and a red-and-blue belt, a signature of Warefarer TANs. Sometimes they also wear athletic wear, reflecting their active lifestyle.
However, a new influence began to emerge in the 1980s, which are bright colors and arcade-inspired motifs, which Warefarer took the opportunity to follow, as a way to increase their popularity in the entertainment industry.
Units
Raring To Go (RTG)
Warefarer's only TAN unit, starting with Patrick's debut in 1977. Patrick's success in the business market prompted the Ensemble to debut more TANs, and their strategy is proven successful in the early 1980s with the debut of Vicky and Kairi, the latter lauded as the most popular TAN. However, the subsequent TANs in RTG experienced several troubles despite their seemingly guaranteed popularity.
RTG TANs are known to have an alliance with Logiciel's TANs since Patrick's early days, where Mike agreed to share his software to Warefarer and other TAN Ensembles. But in the 1980s, the Warefarer Admins began to encourage competitive behavior towards their TANs, which made them successful, but at a cost of overworking themselves.
