Virta Industrial Works, commonly known as Virta, is the largest Ensemble in Lumi. Originated as a paper and rubber industry in the 19th century, Virta greatly expanded its business ventures to different sectors, including information technology and communications. It is also one of the few Ensembles that include TANs created from analog technology.
Visual Style
The Virta TANs' styles reflect their durability and resilient nature, often having jackets, vests, and other protective garments like gloves and boots. They also have metallic and cable-shaped accents in their attire.
While their palette tend to use cool and neutral colors, there are instances where bright pops of neon colors are present, such as in Arvi and Talvi's outfits.
Units
Virta Constructors
Virta's only unit of TANs, which was founded by Mikko, Virta's first Operator, and Sinikka, Virta's first Mobile Assistant. The unit's name is derived from Virta's industrial background. Despite that, they also began to branch in designs and communication fields.
Trivia
- The name Virta is taken from Nokianvirta, the river situated in the town of Nokia, Finland, where the eponymous company got its name from.
- In Finnish, virta can also mean stream, or electric current.[1]
- The Virta Constructors unit was initially going to be named Sector 358, however the developers don't really like the numerical naming, as they felt it was too repetitive[2]
