Shiro-Tsubaki (Japanese: 白椿) is the moe personification of the FMW-M817ST netbook and its FMW-M817ST/r2 rerun, that feature herself. She was designed by Noizi Ito (いとうのいぢ) from the Fujitsubo Machine circle and voiced by Mia Naruse (成瀬未亜) for system sound effects.
History
On December 24, Unitcom announced the limited FMW-M817ST Netbook which has a print of Shiro-Tsubaki on the lid[1][2]. 50 units were made, 25 of them could be ordered via the PC Kōbō subsidiary shop, and some were planned to be sold at Comic Market 77. However, it was quickly decided to cancel the sales at Comiket and instead sell 15 units by lottery which application period ranged from December 29 to January 11[3][4].
Given the very high demand and many comments that the number of units was too small, it was then decided to produce more of them[5][6]. This resulted in the FMW-M817ST/r2 rerun which had the Intel Atom N450 processor instead of N280 and was Built to Order; all orders submitted by January 31 were produced[7].
A final chance to obtain the Netbook was given as 16 FMW-M817ST/r2 were put for sale during their 2010 Golden Week Sale[8].

Shiro-Tsubaki is like the main body of this PC with white rabbit ears. She has a mischievous personality but is loyal to her owner (who she refers to as "master").
She was designed to personify the netbook system and to be loved as a partner by the user.
Netbook Technical Information
The computer is based on the Clevo M81P (more exactly M817PF for the rerun, unknown for the original) as shown in the bottom.

- The FMW-M817ST/r2 can be upgraded to Windows 11 23H2, 24H2 and later will not work due to the lack of SSE 4.2 Instructions.
