Pronama-chan (Japanese: プロ生ちゃん), real name Kei Kurei (暮井 慧), is the mascot of Pronama (プロ生)[1], a community part of Niconico that holds IT and programming study sessions. The Niconico services allow them to make live and interactive broadcasts across Japan.
She is voiced by Sumire Uesaka (上坂すみれ), who also voices Conoha Mikumo.
History
It is unknown how and when exactly she debuted. One can find articles clearly about her from 2012[2] so her debut year can be assumed to be 2012.
She appears to be a fairly popular moe mascot, often reaching top 3 positions in the Akihabara Moe Characters Contest, and having some presence outside Japan, notably featured in some skins for various software[3][4].
In December 2024, she won for the first time the Akihabara Moe Characters Contest.
She was designed by artist Ixy.
