Prismage Collaborative, commonly known as Prismage, is a prominent Ensemble in Liberty, situated in the Selenite Valley area. They are known for their focus and experimentation on visual designs and aesthetics in both their TANs and computer products.

Initially founded as a hobbyist group in a small garage by two former Arcadian developers, Prismage has a reputation of a rebellious, ecletic bunch, making them stand out from other Ensembles.

Prismage's most well-known relationships are with Logiciel and BIM, the former having a form of rivalry despite their alliance in software, and the latter often being made fun of by Prismage's Admins and developers.

Visual Styles

Prismage's TANs arguably have done more experimentation on their visual motifs than other TANs, so it was not easy to categorize, as each TAN are distinct from one another. However, common elements are present, such as the ahoge in their hair, and abstract, geometric designs.

Units

Wonderz

Prismage's first TAN unit, started with Ashton and Alan. The duo made waves in the mid 1970s as creative and rebellious engineers. Ashton stepped down from his active role in 1979, which subsequently made Alan into Wonderz' leading member.

Having a more indie, rugged aesthetic, Wonderz is known for their engineering and product design, and its members are big fans of rock music.

Monochroma

Monochroma started with Lisa's debut in 1983, she introduced a new artistic style in Prismage. However, due to conflicts between developer teams, Lisa felt inadequate to be the "face" of Monochroma, which gave way to her brother Mac as Monochroma's leading member.

Monochroma has a less rough image than Wonderz, and their artistic style is more minimalistic and subdued.

Trivia

  • Prismage's beginnings in a small garage is inspired by Apple's early days.
  • Prismage's history with Logiciel dated back to the 1970s, which is based on Applesoft BASIC for the Apple II computer.
