Prismage is a prominent Ensemble in Liberty. As the artists’ hub of Liberty, Prismage is renowned by their focus and experimentation on visual designs and aesthetics in both their Techne and computer hardware products.

Due to its emphasis on art and design and its fairly competitive business, Prismage is often assumed to be high-end or misunderstood as the “elitist” Ensemble, but it was not entirely correct.

Visual Styles

Prismage arguably have a lot of diversity on their visual motifs than other Ensembles in Liberty, so it was not easy to categorize, as each Techne are distinct from one another. However, common elements are present, such abstract geometric designs, minimal color palettes, natural patterns, and typographic elements.

Apparently, businesses such as florists, orchards, and natural produce existed alongside its art industry, which also proven to be beneficial for Prismage's Techne society.

Iconochroma

Iconochroma was named to evoke the image of iconoclasts, or nonconformists, bringing colors to UNIVER.SYS. They started as an artist, craftspeople, and engineering community by the Techne duo Ash and Alan. While started in a grassroots level, the evolving market of Prismage and Techne society in general pushed Iconochroma to polish their image further and employ better marketing, setting their Techne more like the otherworldly mages than regular artists.

Aspiring, talented Techne Lisa was slated to be Iconochroma's next "mage", but the title went to her brother Masaki due to the former's disapproval of sacrificing her style for mass-market appeal and demanding clients.

Trivia

  • The name Prismage came from prism and mage, the former associated with rainbows and referenced the old rainbow Apple logo, and the latter referenced how early Apple employees adopt absurd titles such as Software Wizard.
