It was not known when exactly Oichi first appeared, however certain sites such as the Futaba@Nijiura Wiki listed her debut as February 12, 2007. This is by no means verifiable.[Challenged]ⓘ

Nothing is known much about Oichi, though most derivative portrayals of her remained consistent.

  • Outside Japan, she may be known as 1.0-tan by analogy to 95-tan, Me-tan, 2K-tan, and XP-tan, though the 1.0たん name is not used in original Japanese works.
