Mirai Suenaga (Japanese: 末永みらい) is the mascot of Culture Japan, a website and TV programme by Danny Choo.
History
Mirai Suenaga debuted as a single illustration in the corner of the Culture Japan site back in 2007. She was originally illustrated by Azami Yuko.
She has gained much popularity worldwide, which led to many collaboration projects, such as the Moekana hiragana learning cards by Good Smile Company, and the Mirai Millenium anime series by J.C. Staff in 2011.[2]
She is officially recognized by the Japanese government, and appointed as mascot of Japanese tourism in 2013.[3]
