Medi-chan (Japanese: メディーちゃん), also known by her full name PAINT Area Manager Medi-chan (PAINTエリア管理員★メディーちゃん) is the mascot of MediBang Paint, a digital painting and comic creation application by MediBang Inc.
History
Medi-chan was designed by the artist catkin, as an entry for an art contest celebrating MediBang Paint's one million downloads. The contest theme was to design an official character/mascot for MediBang Paint, which resulted in 1813 entries, with catkin's design winning first place.[1]
She was announced by MediBang Paint's official Twitter/X account on April 28, 2016,[2] and has since featured in many art contests.
