MSXDOS-tan (Japanese: MSXDOSăă) is a character that personifies MSX-DOS, the Japanese version of MS-DOS.
History
While MSXDOS-tan was first posted on the Coffeekan dĆjin circle website on September 16, 2009,[1] some sites noted that she first appeared as early as in 2005.[2] She is designed by artist and Coffeekan's admin Tanukino.
Design
She has grey hair styled in twintails, and a noticeable ahoge. Her outfit is a short black dress with white school lunch apron, and black boots. She carries an MSX-DOS ROM cartridge on her back, which she can change versions depending on her mood. The higher version she wears, the stronger she gets.
Character
MSXDOS-tan is slow and brittle, abandoned by her father Bill Gates,[3] and is completely forgotten by the Microsoft family. She likes playing, drawing and the TV machine (especially the video terminal). However, she is not good at fast drawing or fast calculations.
She likes to read MSXă»FAN and MSX Magazine, and her friends are MSX BASIC-kun, Kanji ROM-kun and FM PAC-san.
