Logiciel Codeworks, commonly known as Logiciel, is a prominent Ensemble in the country of Liberty. Logiciel is largely known for their computer software production and research.
Logiciel was founded by two developers starting a small traffic software business. They made their big break through an alliance with Alpha Enterprise in 1975, cementing its place in computer history, and expanded Logiciel into an Ensemble.
Visual Styles
Logiciel TANs tend to adopt a nerdy, tech-related aesthetic, such as synthwave. Their attire tend to have square or diamond patterns, and sometimes writings resembling lines of code. During their collaboration with BIM, Logiciel TANs also adopted more formal costumes.
In the 1990s, Natalia's debut introduced the use of shiny and sometimes sheer materials, which inspired her successors.
Units
Cobalt Coalition
Cobalt Coalition started as Logiciel's first TAN unit called Back to BASICs (B2B), though renamed after Logiciel and BIM's alliance in the 1980s. As Logiciel's main TAN unit, Cobalt Coalition TANs were intended specialize in business and software development.
The unit was disbanded in the early 1990s after the end of Logiciel's alliance with BIM.
Fenestrae
Thanks to Nix and Amy's success in the idol and gaming industry, a new TAN unit founded in Logiciel, dubbed Fenestrae, with a vision of Logiciel TANs with multiple skills beyond what the previous unit can do, and a more approachable image. They didn't find much success until the early 1990s.
Trivia
- Alpha Enterprise, the Ensemble that allied with Logiciel in 1975, is a parody of MITS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems).
- Despite being inspired by Microsoft, Logiciel started in 1972 instead of 1975, which is based on Microsoft founders' first company called Traf-O-Data, which was founded in 1972.
- Back in the 1970s and early 1980s, Logiciel attempted to experiment with disco and heavy metal inspired aesthetics respectively, which were references to Microsoft's 1975 and 1980 logo.
