Mayura was first released on March 9th, 2001. She was discontinued a year later in 2002.[1]
In 2011, Mayura's creator MUKEI created a new blog for Mayura, who can be seen sporting an updated design.[2] In 2013, he sold a digital book summarizing her history titled Little Witch Order.[3]

Mayura is a witch who is over 400 years old and is very powerful. Despite this, she has a nerdy fascination with computer games. In the mid-1990s, she cast a spell that transported her into cyberspace and summoned her companion Kuro-Unyuu.
She has a curious personality and loves to collect old computers and computer hardware, to the point she is constantly running out of space for her collection.
