Ichika Madobe (Japanese: 窓辺いちか, Madobe Ichika) is a moe representation of Windows 11 designed by an artist known as Karv.

Design

This Windows 11 interpretation has long, Link Water hair, and blue eyes. She wears a mostly blue dress with long sleeves, and long white socks. She also wears a Windows 11 logo hair accessory.

History

Karv published his representation of Windows 11 on September 1st, 2021 on Pixiv, which is presumably her debut.

She probably became the most popular representation of Windows 11, completely overshadowing others like 11-chan despite the latter originating from the community that developed OS-tan, to the point that the Windows's Instagram account chose to use her in a video presenting Windows moe personifications and mascots posted on September 26, 2024. This further boosted her popularity, but also as a consequence made many incorrectly consider her as the reference moe representation of Windows 11.

She was initially unnamed, but at some point, Karv added the 窓辺いちか Pixiv tag to some of drawings of her, acknowledging the common Ichika Madobe name that was given to her. Karv usually referred to her as "win11娘" (Win11 Girl).

Profile

She is Karv's interpretation of an hypothetical Windows 11 representative part of an alternate Madobe Family as he did portray her with the other members (often deaged) in lewd artworks.

Karv does not appear to have revealed any information about her personality. However, due to her popularity, various people made up material about her.

Trivia

• The name Ichika Madobe originated from a poll in the OS-tan subreddit, proposing a name for Karv's design, as for that time she was only known as Win11 Girl.
