Baylee is one of the mascots of Bay Area Rapid Transit, a rapid transit system serving the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
History
Baylee and the other mascots of Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) were revealed as early as May 2023, after an open call for California-based artists BART released in summer 2022.[1][2] She is designed by Yokura.[3]
The new mascots are used to promote public transportation use, especially among the younger generations, and were inspired by anime mascots used by public transportation agencies in Japan and Taiwan.[1]
