Yū Madobe (窓辺ゆう)
Yū Madobe was a mascot designed by Windows Navi+ that represented Windows 8 and 8.1 in Japan, along with her twin sister Ai.
History
The twins made their debut with a campaign promoting the launch of Windows 8 that started on October 26, 2012, and offered limited merchandises featuring them. However, Yū's silhouette already appeared in a video from April 25, 2012 featuring Claudia Madobe.
This fact and early artworks suggest that Yū was intended to be the sole representative of Windows 8, and it was then only decided later to make another character.
Profile
She was born on November 18, 1996, and 15 years old at the time her profile was published. It was the day Windows CE was released.
The older sister, yet you'd want to protect her like a little sister. She loves digital gadgets and gets very passionate when it comes to her hobbies, which include following the latest news about digital gadgets. A hidden Otaku (or not) who owns a slate PC and handily uses tablets, smartphones, and PCs. Not good at sports.
A distant relative of Nanami.
