Windows 8 Launch Campaign
Windows Navi+ launched a campaign on October 26, 2012 promoting the release of Windows 8. It was the first event featuring Yū and Ai Madobe. Limited goods featuring the twins could be obtained at the participating shops, which include Sofmap, Pacific Net, TwoTop, PC Kōbō, Faith, Freet, Zoa and Tsukumo.
Goods
The main merchandises were the limited Windows 8 Pro DSP Release Commemorative Packs. They included a Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse and a Theme Pack CD-ROM. For both Yū and Ai, there were three kinds of packs (so six in total):
- The regular white pack, limited to 4000 units each for Ai and Yū.
- The Nipponbashi variant (leopard box), limited to 500 units per character.
- The Akihabara variant (golden box), limited to 444 units per character.
The regular and Nipponbashi have strictly identical CD-ROMs (Yū, Ai), while the Akihabara one has a different wallpaper and the "秋葉原リミテッドエディション" (Akihabara Limited Edition) mention on the CD-ROMs (Yū, Ai). All discs are pressed.
There are three distinct decorations on the mouse, one for each pair of Packs.
Some participating shops also offered their own limited goods.
